Helping you to harness the power of your outdoor spaces.

Our new brochure ‘Taking Culture Outdoors’

At Factory Settings we build beautiful things to go inside beautiful buildings.

Like you, we’ve had to rethink this in the last year. With life now returning to normal, we’ve focused on how to help cultural and hospitality clients build more effective businesses.

Over the past year, with social distancing becoming the norm, we’ve started to think about the opportunities outdoor spaces can offer.

Our new brochure ‘Taking Culture Outdoors’ sets out a few of the solutions we’ve come up with.

Developing a Modular Solution

We’ve developed a line of products to create outdoor exhibitions, pocket parks, picnic pods, shelters, shows and events.

Our system is simple and versatile, as well as being quick and easy to install. It is also easy to adapt, rearrange and reuse. Making it a really flexible and sustainable solution for outdoor spaces.

Moving the Museum Outdoors

With this system we can create exhibitions and interpretation stations for outdoor locations.

We can also add shelter and seating, table tops, open object displays, or display cases. All built around your interpretation and finished to suit your needs.

Creating new spaces for your visitors to relax.

We have applied the same flexible thinking to creating pocket parks, gardens and green spaces. Our range of planters, seating, screens and water features can be used to create a myriad of different spaces. The kit is fully flexible, allowing the gardens to be moved, redesigned or relocated at any time.

Picnic Pods and shelters to make the most of rainy days.

To cope with the rigours of the British climate, we’ve been working on a range of pods and shelters to keep your visitors comfortable whatever the weather. They are built using a simple modular framework, that allows them to be integrated with both our exhibition system and pocket parks.

Pop-up parties to celebrate summer.

This summer, more than ever before, we know people will be looking for amazing outdoor events. So we’ve created a ‘Venue in a Van’. Meaning whatever the event, we can bring everything you need. Letting you put on a great event, but without the fuss.
